Monkey Land Punta Cana

A brightly painted safari vehicle will pick you up early in the morning at your hotel in Bávaro or Punta Cana.

Meet local farmers and listen to their organic farming methods, used to grow cinnamon, cocoa, coffee and vanilla. Visit “La casa del coco” and observe the manufacturing process of coconut oil. Try the delicious tropical fruits fresh from the tree and take the opportunity to buy some of these products directly at their source.

Get back in the truck and climb a mountain road through the jungle to reach Monkeyland, a 2-hectare habitat for squirrel monkeys managed by an experienced Canadian couple with over 35 years of experience working with animals, including 12 years in The Toronto Zoo, which have taught monkeys to trust and enjoy the company of humans. Follow your guide on a 45-minute tour of the sanctuary, where you will have the opportunity to see and feed the monkeys that come down from the trees to sit on your shoulder and eat from your hands. Watch how mothers with babies behind them jump and climb. They also love to pose for the cameras, especially to take a selfie!
